We stayed in one of five cottages set on The Hermitage Farm in the Peak District. The cottage is perfect for two people, offering comfortable interiors, including a wood burner and a terrace with stunning rural views across the Peak District.
On the grounds, there is outdoor seating and a shared garden with a BBQ and a firepit. They also have an enclosed dog exercise paddock where you can let your dog off the lead, and with an abundance of footpaths and bridleways that meander through the surrounding area, you can walk for miles from the cottage itself.
The hosts were lovely and welcomed us with a basket including a personalised letter, maps of surrounding areas, coffee, tea, fruit and homemade brownies.
